Nearly a no dies card!

Another Craftwork Cards number!
It was nearly a no dies card but I had to add the white butterfly spellbinders die on top of the CWC butterfly! All from the More Than Words set.

I started off by making the background. Craft card, painted in Gesso, stamped with Crafters Companion texture stamps and embossed with silver embossing powder then dry embossed with a Crafters Companion 8x8 distress embossing folder.  All edged with Tim Holtz Spun Sugar then over this with Stampin Up' Pixie Pink.

I layered up 3 flowers all edged in the Stampin' Up pink again and glued a gem in the centre.  All held together with a hot glue gun.

The butterfly looked a bit plain so I added the Spellbinders butterfly at the end of the project.

The lace ribbon is from The Works (a bargain at £1 a roll, also in grey and red and yes I did buy one of each!). The glass heart is from a crafty sellers group on facebook, knew I would need them one day!

I had this in mind as a mothers day card so I will update the pics if I add anything to it!

Frozen inspired...

I made a frozen inspired card for a lovely little girl that we have known since she was born!

Using my usual 8x8 base card from Hobbycraft I matted and layered between snowflake embossed mirri (Crafters Companion folder) and the striped paper (best of pink paislee).  I used Spellbinder dies Timeless Rectangles and Opulent Ovals with a paper doily in between for the topper.  The ribbon is from Hobbycraft.

I coloured this image from Polkadoodles "Maddie give us a twirl" which I got as a download.  I love Nikki's designs and have quite a few!  And as they are only a few pounds each are really good value.  I'm not happy with the hair but once it's made up into a card I feel it is less noticeable, or hope anyway!!!  I used Spectum Noir alcohol markers and the Crafters Companion pencils on top.

The stamps are from Craftwork Cards, exclusive to Create & Craft for 30 days I think.  I stamped six flowers with Tim Holtz "Peacock Feathers", cut them out and edged with an old black ink pad.  Next I stamped all the word and number stamps with the Peacock Feathers and cut them out and edged with the same ink pad.

Using a Sizzlets snowflake die I cut three from Hobbycraft glitter paper and layered them with foam pads onto the flowers which I doubled up and added a blue gem.

Last night I just knew this card would not fit in the envelope it was designed to go in!  So I got one of my Crafters Companion bags that I got with a christmas kit and made a bag to match!

I should have used a smaller stamp mount as they did not stamp to well on the bag with the folds and string but it all adds to the shabby chic look!

Easy no dies card...

I got a new kit on Saturday, not bad for Create & Craft as I only ordered it Thursday! Usually takes their stuff over a week to get here!

It's Craftwork cards More than words collection which I had to get with the stamps!  I used them on the card I will put up next!
I wanted to make an easy card as had a hectic few days so I made this in bed! I used a black ink pad, a pokey tool for shaping the paper, glue, foam pads and gems. Thats it!

Can't wait to add dies next time I play with this pack!  I have even created a Craftwork Cards section on my desk, it's getting out of hand!

Here is a sneak peak of what I did with the stamps, the card is not being given until later this week and I don't want little eyes to see it!

Can blog this one after Thursday!  Happy crafting!

It's been ages....

Just getting slowly back into my crafting the past few months have been a long haul.  First my cat passed away at the beginning of November just as my dad started to become really ill. What with caring for him and my mum the crafting fell to the wayside.  My poor dad suddenly passed away at the beginning of December with the funeral the day before christmas eve.  Then in January I got made redundant after being at a company for nearly 10 years. It was a horrible christmas and it's been a tough few months but despite not wanting to I got told by my partner to go craft, well the first few cards were like I had stepped back a few years!  Not sharing those. Finally feel I got my crafty mind back when I decided to play with some Gorjuss products which I love.  Can never go wrong with those...

The papers are from the Gorjuss 8x8 paper pack neutrals and the gorjuss girl circle from one of the gorjoss topper packs.
The backing to this is the gorjuss flower paper cut with a Spellbinder Stately Circles die. Backed again with a hobbycraft doily edged in Stampin Up!

The best wishes are  from a hobbycraft sentiment stamp set.

The flowers and candy dot are from the love Petaloo collection purchased from QVC years ago! The lace and bow are also from the gorjuss range and the pink hat pins were from Create & Craft.  All stuck together with hot glue.  The only way to ensure it is not going to move!

I have been crafting more recently, so I  have a few cards to add on so keep an eye out for more this week.
